I can't grow cheato. Not enough nutrients I guess. But mine literally started to fall apart

I think they starts to turn brown from green.

I read somewhere that it turns brown...someone also told it turns white and disintegrates when dying. So not sure whether I am giving the write info. Take it with a grain of salt
