Adding more fish = more nutrients. Not what you want when trying to eliminate hair algae. Try to limit the growth factors of the algae; light, phosphate and nitrate. All these feed the pleauge.

So, first thing to do would be to drop your photoperiod. Next try and get phosphate and nitrate levels at, and maintained, at 0 ppm.

Waterchanges definatly help but only if you are using filtered water, ie RO/DI, ect...

What are some tank specs and maintenance habits?
