Leopards aren't easy to keep at all. but, since you don't have any wrasse in the system right now, it may be a good time to try one out.

Leopard are shy and finicky eaters, so it's best to add it in before any other wrasses.

Ah. May be a bad choice for me. I'm looking for wrasses easily adaptable to an established system. Potter is very nice but not looking for a "challenging " fish.

I'd replace a six line with another six line, but maybe add another wrasse at the same time. This might help to open doors for other wrasses as they come up.

Otherwise, I would really be patient and find the exact one you like the best. If you can only have one, it's worth the wait. It took me almost a full year to find a non-finicky leopard wrasse, and he eats pellets.

I added a solar wrasse to my system a few months ago and he has worked out well.

Picked up a McCoskers Flasher Wrasse at Red Coral for $35. Good price for a nice little wrasse.

Time to acclimate.

Very cool fish. I had a McCoskers and Blue flasher in the past as well.

Flasher wrasses can be little drama queens when you first add them to the tank, they will lay on the bottom looking like you just killed them...... until you notice their eyes follow every movement you make

Just curious ... Why would you replace a six line with the same? You never know how the next will be. Some say adding a sixer is the worst thing they did. Not all behave as well as mine did!

I do. I love it. It's my favourite fish. I highly, highly, highly recommend hem, with the caveat that they are not the easiest. If you find one that eats at the store, you'll be in decent shape.
