I like your ideas of keeping the rock low
This will give you lots of room for corals to grow out and up Just my personal thoughts, but ... I'd take a flat screwdriver and hammer, and bust up that big piece in the middle Then I'd make more room for the fish to swim near the sand bed in the midst of the rocks Looks great so far
