You will need 29 Destroyers to be 100% sure of victory ( Assuming science is zero on both sides ) ... however in order to take over the planet you will need transports equal to the population level of the planet ( ie. pop 4 = 4 transports ) ... one other thing when it comes to " unknown " planets is that they may still have destroyers circling them so send a bit more than you " need " to do the job
