Worm ID please
What are these sticking up ? They don't seem to have anything attached to them when I suction them out during a water change. They appear to be some kind of worm like shell ?

Feather duster of some sort.

But the feathers never come out. They just sit there sticking up doing nothing as far as I can tell. I used to have a ton of feather dusters all over my rock but they are gone.

worm
most likely a sipunculid-a type of peanut worm.you will probably see one small fine tentacle at night about an inch long.suspension or detritvore feeder
