with most tangs there is usually a 3-5 day "jump in" period.......where the new or smaller tang gets told who is boss......sometimes there is no aggression and sometimes the aggression continues after the 3-5 days to the point of death for one of the fish.......completely depends on the individual fish.....

my yellow tangs a jerk to all new comers!!
If I'd know what he'd be like I'd have put him in last!! usually if a new fish can deal with the yellow for the first 24hrs everythings fine after that..
