I agree with lazy but it's more effecient to feed pellets than flakes. A good portion of the flakes end up going into the overflow, sump, skimmer, and stuck in rock crevices where it's abandoned by fish. With pellets, it gets consumed immediately or sinks right to the bottom where it can be scavanged later. Pellets also work 100% better in an auto feeder. There are way more advantages with pellets.
