I have a bit of red bubble algae in my tank. I usualy cover the bubble with the open end of a turkey baster, give the bubble a scrape and suck everything up at the same time. This makes sure that the bubble doesn't release its spores into the tank. I can only do this for the algae I can get at, but it seems to help. You can try an emerald crab, but i have been told they tend to nip corals the odd time.

I have the same issue. i recently picked up a couple emerald crabs and have seen them pick away at the smaller bulbs but nothing to substantial. Going in there manually to try to get them off the rocks seems to be the best way ive found..

Actually one of my favorite is the Hawaiian blue tang i had one years ago and honestly that was the top of them all in grasing all day anything green. Only my experience.

I had a red bubble algae outbreak. For me, I put a lemonpeel angel in my tank and watched him pick apart bubble algae over the next 2 weeks. It was unexpected. But of course, they aren't 100% reefsafe. I'm not going to suggest getting one for eating the algae though. I'm just documenting the behavior.

Makes sense I just use treated tap water I've been doing small water changes every two days to rid nutrients I'm barley feeding my chromis but I'm going to try the turkey Baster idea
