I've looked into the skimz pump as well and the SM161 is what I would need on my 120g. I'm just torn on the SM161 and the BM180-EX.

What are the MSRP's for these two skimmers?

Would love to see some reviews of Skimz as they are pretty much nonexistent at this point in time.

yep distribution starts mid december, at that time we will have probably 3 models out on review on CanReef

Can you run any of the BM's say NAC 6 or NAC7 in the less then 9" water level, my sump is only 7"?

no they require a higher level, however the Skimz SM121 you can as you can adjust the air/water mix seperately
