Purchased him 3 1/2 weeks ago. Developed the initial black 'mark' just 4 or 5 days ago which has moved to where it is as of yesterday. Any ideas what this is? Does not seem to bother him. Eats like a football lineman.

And leave a 2" X 2" leaf of either brown or green veggie on a clip. Cannot remember the name of the veggie, but loves the brown. I was unable to make it home yesterday as I had to attend to a family matter, so they were not fed for the day

Looks like a bruise to me. If he's a super active swimmer its likely he could have brushed against the rock or something or bonked into the glass.

Bit of info and a pic here: http://www.wetwebmedia.com/nasoldis.htm just a short way down the page there is a photo and a post called "Black Mark on Naso Tang?" with a photo. Needs to be fed more, try some meaty foods to get some protein in him.

Selcon is a good additive, or anything with multivitamin and amino acids.
