Well the question is what are the parts made of. Can it handle a semi-corrosive environment? Also you need to consider how much it costs to run. For example a hot tub pump has fantastic output capability but the downside is some serious (and I mean serious) power consumption. So check the amperage/wattage draw, otherwise you may be in for a real surprise when you get your first power bill...
