Yes he tank so so nice. Our plan is to build the rock up around the overflow like he has and then out from there make it really open. Almost like the edge of a reef head. The openess and depth is what really caught our eye.

So time for an update. We have moved from Grande Prairie so all the fish and live rock are in a Tote. They are all doing really well and seem to like the extra room.

We got rid of the 6line wrasse because he was picking on the Firefish so bad we hadnt seen it in a week and the 6Line wrasse was taking a beating from our Flame Angel. So he went to a good home where hopfully he can live a peacful life.

I also got 2 frags from Pazil (great meeting ya) one a Zoa and a GSP which both have opened this morning. The GSP frag got glued into a interesting piece of LR and will be a "GSP Island" in any tank I got. The Zoa frag found a hole to sit on on the same rock as my button polyps and it looks really happy.

While I was meeting up with a bunch of Canreef members I slipped into Gold's where I picked up a Zoa rock with a single mushroom on it. The mushroom was fully opened all day today but none of the zoa's were at the start of the day. By the end about half the rock had opened up so hopfully the other half will open up in the next couple days.

Before Calgary we stopped in at Aquarium illusions to check out what they had. As usual I couldnt leave without spending some money. Shaun hooked me up with a Bangaii Cardinal and 2 Black Percs. The Black Perc are my favourite, one is about an inch long and solid black with white stripes while the other guy is about 1/2 inch long with a little orange around his mouth but he is pitch black as well. I was worried the little guy would be a 2 course meal for my female Ocellaris clown but she swam up to it in a big huff and decided a fish that small wasnt worth the effort. Tiny, as we call him, cruises around with every fish in the tank other than the Bangaii.

Sorry guys the last couple days have been spent un packing and putting stuff into storage. I will try to snap pictures tomorrow.

Oh and I tried to find a 10000K bulb but noone here in town had any T5HO only the regular T5 or they were 6700 or 14000K. So I am going to keep my eye open.

Okay as promised I got pictures. I did get started until this evening due to a family birthday but I got the stand built and the tank about half full of water and salt. Its got a Koralia 2 and a heater in there to keep the temp up.

I will top the other half the tank up with water from the tub in the morning and do a small water change. Then in the evening I will move everything over.

The specs on the stand is 36" tall and the tank is 24" tall with a foot print of 20" square. The plan will be to eventually turn this tank into a Seahorse tank for my girlfriend.

Now for a question. As recommended I went on a hunt for a 10000K bulb but couldn't find one. I did however find a white actinic with a colour of 10000K. Will this due or do I need a full spectrum daylight 10000K?

Here is a height comparison, I am 6 feet tall.

Starting to Clear

Here are some pics of the Bangaii from the tote

Here are some older pics from when everything was in the tank

I cant wait to get this new tank up and going.

Wow, you moved all the way down to Lethbridge. So when I saw you was that when you were moving down?
The tank looks awesome and will make a great horse tank when you do convert it. Can't wait to see it stocked. That little Bangaii is cute, can't wait to get mine.

Yes when you seen me I had my truck with the trailer parked down the street. I had a CBB there but I guessed he passed.

In addition to the cardinal I walked out with 2 of the Black Percs as well. I got a solid black one and that little itty bitty half incher that was in there. Both of them are doing great.

Got everyone moved in today and picked up a new Blue Rhodactis Mushroom, well I didnt my girlfriend did.

Also found a crab in the rock looks like an Emerald but I am not sure if it is. I havent added rock in a month and there hasnt been any damage to fish or corals so I am hoping he will be ok. Sorry no picture.

Adding Live Rock

The happy Trio. I have forgotten how friendly clowns are. The make a mad sprint to the front of the tank anytime we walk by.

Bangaii Cardinal

It needs a little more live rock but here is the Full Tank Shot

Well I have experienced our first loss in the tank. My Flame Angel died lastnight. By the looks of it he jammed himself in the rack for the night and couldnt get out. I thought it was odd when he didnt come out to feed and wasnt swimming around when the lights turned on.

We are sad to see him go he was getting very pretty and developing some nice streamers off his dorsal and caudal fins.

We are planning on another but probably wont put another Flame in for a while.
