I have mine at the bottom of my tank. It likes low flow. And I think they adapt easily
as, I have moved mine all over the bottom. Just to see what it liked better. Did not make a difference. As for food I feed phyto, brine, krill, mysis whatever I feed all the others. I have never target fed it. Not sure if others do.
