Yah, good luck with that!
HD staff aren't always the sharpest knives in the drawer,(sometimes they are). you can also use the ice machine hook up, should be the same hose. looks sorta like this:http://www.hammerzone.com/archives/p...g/plrfw67a.jpg

Not knowing the type of plumbing you have in your house it's hard to suggest a permanent install (copper or plastic) but you might want to think along those lines.
RO is quite slow and it takes a while to fill your pressure tank(if you have one) so it might tie up your tap for a long time. Also remember that an RO unit runs best if the water entering is around 70 degrees. Sorry I don't know what that is in celsius. A 25 foot lenght of hose will allow it to heat up a bit more then straight from the tap. I run mine into a bucket full of water with a heater in it. This keep the flow at it's maximum. |

Wait - faucet adapter, you don't mean this, do you?
![]() if not - then all you need to do is just tell them you want to install an ice maker. Same hoses. I asked, they said "No, we don't have nothing like that" - Then I looked. Plumbing section, water treatment/ice maker/etc section. Too bad you weren't in Surrey, I know where it is at my local HD now ![]() |

Hope i'm not thread hijacking BUT just curious if you can run one of these multi-stage RO/DI filters from a faucet??? Are there any issues with water pressure, etc?
OCDP, if you could let me know how it goes. I'm looking to buy one of these units soon. Thanks! ![]()
