well I have a 120 gallon double overflow tank. Oceanic stand, sump 2, with OA ca reactor, OA kalk mixer, Euro reef c2+ skimmer (amazing skimmer) simply 2 seios (820) for flow, Tunze stream upgrade in my future. Sump is in my garage a story below. So my room is quiet and no skimmer smell. 130 lbs tonga rock (best live rock in my opinion.) at least mine was! Some softies but mostly lps and now getting into sps. Looking into a business of growing out corals in the future!

How do you balance the kalk & calcium reactors? Do you use both at the same time?

kalk mixer and ca are running at the same time. My alk is around 11.5 and ca at 375. I use to dose kent turbo calcium but levels would drop to 330 -340, and I would dose every other day. So far after 1 month of the reactor running by levels stay 375-385. Now I am adjusting my Mag. so my levels should go up, or I may have to adjust the Ca reactor. Kalk mixer just drips in via float valve to keep sum levels stable. I got both units fom Wendell at Ocean Aquatics and have to say of all the lowermainland stores I find OA unbeatable for customer service. I think they are very loyal to good customers and as a fairly new customer I already see that in this small but growing business. I recommend anyone thinking of finding this hidden store to check it out. They get some amazing coral shipments in and frags are always plentiful!!!!!!

and I am just getting my 2 cents in, being a sponser doesnt mean nothing, being a sponser doesnt mean you have a good business going. I just wanted to let people know of my experience so far with OA. cheers
