Questons about culturing rotifers and phytoplankton

i have mine lined up to 2 6500k 48" bulbs. I use miracle grow as well. i bought it at home depot. don't use shultz, use miracle grow. mine's a 12-4-8 formula. 950ml bottle. I've had best results with 2-3mL of fert per 2L bottle with 16 hours of light 8 hours of dark. I also add in 1mL of kent's essential elements, whether or not it benifits the phyto, I'm not sure, but it gets to the tank eventually, which is good...I guess.
