Default Kalk reactor

You could do that.. I know that Randy Holmes Farley does it that way with a 44gallon rubbermaid container. He has a basement to do it in tho. I guess you have some similar set up.

I prefer to mix it in an air tight container or as close as possible. The reading I have done seems to let me beleive that in time the contact with CO2 makes a kalk solution useless.

I guess it is something you would have to try. Keep in mind that a good way to see if you are not dosing a "good" kalk solution you can jsut measure the ph of the solution. You want a pH of 12.5 or close to it.

It is very easy to have one of these reactors inline with your tubing from the top off bucket to your sump. You will be able to get rid of the small pump I use for dosing and use the pressure of the water from your tub to force through the stirrer and into your sump.
