To be honest, no, my parent colony doesn't look like the one's in Quinn's picture. My tank is currently lit by Iwasaki's (6500K) and although the purple is evident in the coral, it's not as evident as pictured.
The best results I've had myself were 10,000K in my other tank. Really nice and purple and fairly solidly throughout. I'm sure under 20,000K it'd look pretty sweet too. It grows fast, and I think it wouldn't take all that long for it to adjust its colours to different lighting.
