I have had him over 3 years. Super hardy. Been through two moves and all. My oldest fish.
All wrasses are sensitive as far as "getting freaked out" goes. Most wrasses are quite hardy once established though. Hardiness and sensitivity are sometimes not opposites. How about this..."he's emotional".
You could just change half the carbon if it is fairly new.
