Home Depot, and $30! :D

I bought all but one of my ballasts at HD when they used to sell them. They don't anymore (at least not in Calgary), I guess nobody but the occasional reefer was buying them. When I heard they were unloading their ballasts I got the last 250W ballast in the city, I checked every store! It was buried in the back of the shelf and nobody had seen it yet when I found it.

I actually kinda wish they still sold 'em ... even at their regular price per ballast it was a pretty good price! (I forget exactly now, but it was something like $60, $70 I think.) I had to pick up a second 250W ballast recently for the new tank and I was hard pressed to find anything under $100, and I called many a lighting distributor. Although I did get lucky I ended up finding a used ballast at a hydroponics outfit for $50.
