1” hole in 10G tank

Hi everybody,

As stated above I am thinking of putting a 1” (or 1.25” hole) in the upper corner of my 10 G for a return.
I know the glass is on 1/8th thick and figured it was too thin to hold without cracking the glass.
NOW… Could I just attach a second of 1/8th glass to reinforce this? Or do I even need to worry about it
