 ( girlfriend does most of the naming  ) the peppermint shrimp took out 50+ in less than a week...I think their rostum (sp.) or nose is the way to distinguish a pepper vs non pepper real peppermint shrimp have a shorter rostum than the fakers... not much help unless you have them side by side though. Hope this helps.
