Yes, will be using eggcrate, and trying to keep it simple and unobtrusive.

Just had a brainwave... I have these clips that I was using to attach pump cords inside the tank to make them more tidy and out of the way. If I stick them to the back of the tank and hang the eggcrate on them, that might work. The centre brace on the eggcrate will keep it horizontal.
