Re-attatch Toad Stool (Sarcophyton)

I had purchased a rock with a few mushrooms and a toad stool attatched but in the process of relocating to a new home the coral just fell off the rock and now is free floating in my tank... I had tried to use the putty I had bought to secure my rocks but don't seem to hold on to the coral's base very well.. HELP!!
