Patience Grasshopper....
Don't transfer the sand, start with new, or clean it thouroughly. Do a couple of water changes,and save the water. Move your rock over, add a new piece erver few days. Ammonia will happen, but you can avoid a harsh spike, with additives like stability. Don't rush it. Ken - BWA
