Is RO a necesssity in the Lower Mainland

I currently use DI filters to filter my water. My rationale for using strictly DI is the lower mainland water outof the tap typically has a hardness of about 10-20 ppm, so the DI filters last quite a long time.

Is there any advantage to switching to a RO unit. Thoughts anybody!
