theres quite alot of good choiced out there, The canon G10 provides you with RAW capabilities in a compact P&S body, if you are looking into DSLR quality cameras but want it in a P&S size the G10 is probably the best bet for a P&S without lens changing.

If you want a compact P&S size DSLR look into the olympus E-P1, it is pretty much a E-620 DSLR in a compact body and uses a compact style mount. Look into that if you want something small and powerful.
