There's lots to do and see in Dubai, they have the worlds biggest everything. Only problem is getting there, when I checked the cheapest was around $5,000 for return flights for two people. Hotels are fairly cheap if you stay at the right ones and everything else is likely pretty standard.

If I win the lottery I think I'll buy one of the Canadian islands in the Dubai world
