RO/DI Unit Questions

Hi,
I just pick up a new 75 GPD RO/DI unit, when I was in Calgary last month, and was wondering whats the ratio of the waste to good water should be? I just connected it up and it seems to produce a lot more waste water than good, is there a break in period for the RO membrane?
