Comets are commonly sold as feeder fish, and are small and extremely cheap to buy. They're the ones that get the biggest, along with shubunkin which are more colourful but are still flat-bodied. Comets and shubunkin are also powerful swimmers, so they need high water movement.
Actually had an indoor GF pond at one point. Loved those GF, too. Very friendly, especially at feeding time
