Depending if you have a lot of room behind the tank, the Aquamedic Blue 1000 has been a really good skimmer for me. I use it in sump rather than hang on but it's taking a good amount of stuff out of my 70G. $199 US or less to buy it plus shipping.
Just remember that it's pretty deep so you need a little room behind the tank. Just my 2 cents.
