I've set up alot of tanks for people using Mag Drive pumps and never had a problem with any of them.
One tank I look after has had a Mag 18 running on it for almost 3 years and I have never taken it apart to clean it. I've never had a problem with calcium build up on any make of pump I have ever used. Maybe I have just been lucky.
