How to deal with lacking service?

Its a small company and I am calling the direct line. I think the lady who picks up is possibly a receptionist? What about trying to dial numbers a few digits off of the direct line? E.g. 555-0000, and me dialing 555-0003 to see if I get someone?

I actually have already tried on a few occasions to get someone else, or a supervisor on the line, all with no success.
