Before, when I went away on a trip, I had the people that looked after my system just add cold tap water to the system for top-off. The amount was between 5 and 8 gallons a day. I didn't have a float switch hooked up and didn't trust them to run my RO/DI.
...No difference... :? Long term, I feel better using RO/DI, but I'm not so sure it's really necessary. But I think it looks cool. Mitch
