![]() Love my urchin. Does a good job, always graxing, and looks great cruising around the tank with its spines waving about. Gets a lot of attention from guests unfamiliar with marine tanks as well. I have the black spiny variety, only one I've ever had. I'm told they are very hardy and tend to agree.

![]() Thanks for the posts,an urchin would look great in there but would it be ok with my coralline algae i was told that the ones with the long black spines just munch though the stuff.if it is ok is anyone selling one at this time might be able to trade one for some zoo's

![]() Do you have or are you planning to buy a trigger for your fish-only tank? I love those fish.

![]() was considering getting a niger but from what ive read they get aggresive with age ,plus if i get a urchin i think it will make a expensive snack, there is a pink tail one thats not as aggresive but i have to do some more reasearch ,the brird mouth and the moray are doing great btw,any other ideas for a friendly trigger are welcome.

![]() Niger triggers don't eat urchins. They're more a plankton feeder, indicated by ther upturned mouth. Picassos and clowns might be inclined to try, but I would say a niger would be fine with an urchin. Same with a pink tail.
