round worms??

OK goofy question but are they good, bad what ?
And is there a certain fish or other creature that likes them for lunch?

the reason I ask is I looked in my sump and there seem to be all these mini wormy things sticky up (I know "things") But I am not sure how to explain it and sorry no pic yet. I have not picked up a new digital cam yet.
