Water Changes
I live in an older house and am worried about flushing old sea water in the toilet as I dont wanna rust my pipes.
Whats a safe way of getting rid of old water during water changes? |

There should be no issues dumping it down the toilet or the sink and the risk of rust is negligible as it goes straight down the sewer and there is minimal chance of standing water in the piping.
In other words there is nothing to really worry about.

Agreed there's minimal risk.
To feel better dump 5g of tapwater down the drain when you're done. |

Thanks for the feedback, i think down the toilet with a few flushes after should be fine

I did this all last year and it never hurt a thing. My wife has been watering her plants with diluted skimmer waste and they do considerably better than anyone else's in the area.
