Just wondering what type of instrument people use to feed their anemones.

My tank is 24" deep so ideally I'd like some kind of long grasping tongs with a fairly fine tip, to place food onto the anemone and also for feeding LPS corals. I thought maybe extra-long chopsticks but can't find anything like that at the local Asian store. |

My tongs are indispensable, and great for dropping pieces of food into the anemone's tentacles. They are similar to this:

I used my old eheim plant tongs to position newly bought snails in my tank... I'd suspect they work just fine for feedings.

My Eheim tongs have been indispensible! They are great for moving things about and rescuing/placing tipped snails. To date, I have never used them for feeding.

I use a wide tip syringe (with no needle attached). I find my turkey baster leaks the food out once it is in the water. I suppose "the claw" would work for feeding larger bits. They have excellent feel and don't clamp too hard.

I just use a 12" long set of tweezers, I actually have 2, one stainless steel and-one plastic. get them at kitchen specialty shops for about 10 bucks.

Looks like I have the Eheim ones - wouldn't be without them. They're longer than the ones linked to at Big Al's though.

I agree about the syringe doing a better job than the turkey baster, too - finer control, no leakage.
