Check with your LFS... Here in Calgary our stores will sell you them and then give you a credit back on a portion of the cost when you return it. Doing it this way ensures you get the job done, and then the LFS can resell it to someone else and you don't lose all the $$$$ and the poor critter doesn't starve.
Give your LFS a call, I am sure one of them will do it this way.

I know, but i was hoping someone is willing to let theirs go as i want one that has adapted to captivity. The one i got from JNL's a few weeks ago has never appeared since. I checked everywhere, overflow, sump, pipes, even at night!!
