filtered "top-up" water?

Canadian Man,
I have both SPS and softies in my tanks. What do most of the RO users do with the waste water? I was thinking it would be good for the yard in the summer but I don't know in the winter.

My Ro/Di unit is in the basement so the waste water (unfortunatley) goes down the drain as it's a pain in the but to haul it upstairs to use on the plant's and yard stuff.
