the pump needs to be bigger than the litle gaint 4MDQ-SC in gph...i already bought that pump and i need sumthing more powerful..also selling that pump for 150 obo.....thats 100 dollar savigns on a 6 month old pump

Where are you located?

I switched out my 4MDQ-SC for a MAK4 on my tank return, the return is 1", splits to 2 x 1" lines, goes up through the tank and such. I notice only minor improovements in flow, but the pump is quiet, or has a higher pitch sound that doesn't travel as far.

I may be removing the MAK4 and a MAG18 both in use less than 6 months, let me know if you would be interested, I can't remove them until I know I have a buyer and get a replacement pump.
