most pond pumps are not rated for saltwater and will degrade quickly if used for salt.

Danner mag drive, or Pentair Quiet one Pumps are pond pumps that excell in SW. I have a few of each.

agreed. mags are good pumps for the price. not the quietest but won't find anything more reliable for the $$.
