Default Anyone used an Aquamaxx HOB-1?

Does anyone have any experience with this HOB skimmer. Looking to try a new HOB skimmer on a 29g reef and this one looked interesting. Any other recommendations from 1st hand experience? Thanks!

Fantastic choice, I'm running one on a small 29g system myself.

Excellent build quality, super quiet and easy to clean.

If you need some photos I will hook you up.

I would love a photo or two if you wouldn't mind. I had read on some reviews that a constant water level in the skimmer was hard to maintain in initial reviews but I believe they corrected the problem pretty quickly. Have you had any issues such as this?

No problem give me a second I will round up a couple of them now.

The problem with the water level was solved with a T connecter on the outlet to stop hydrostatic pull of the out going water.

Here you can see the T connecter that allows the output to breath

That keeps the water level perfect inside the unit.

Bubble chamber

Skimate from today, good thing you asked about the skimmer ( I forgot to clean it tonight )
