Default Lighting in a tank

I have fish and I have coral, i was wondering how long should i keep the lights on for? and should i get moonlights and how long should those stay on for??
I have a 36" T5 2white 2blue light system now, no timers or anyway to switch the blue or whites off by themselves.
Thanks.

I am running my led moon lights for 2 hours, then my t5 lights for about 9 hours then the led moon lights for 2 hours again. Lights are just plugged into 2 walmart mechanical lamp timers.

Welcome to the site if you do a search for lighting you will find plenty of info there. Good luck.

Loudest part of my system would be the nagging sound I hear on a regular basis about how much time and money I spend on the tank.
