![]() I regret ever putting blue clove polyps in my tank, as they are now everywhere and spread ridiculously fast. Is there any way to remove them safely or control their numbers with some sort of nudi, or fish? My tank is mostly sps/lps with very few softies.
I may just have to suck it up and trade, or cook the polyps off. I feel like if I were to try and scrape/scrub 'em off they would just keep coming back? |

![]() I had these growing everywhere! I just left them, and they died off in a short time. I have absolutely none left now..

![]() Nope, everything was good for them to grow, but when they got to a certain point, they just vanished. I was going to tear the tank apart, but glad I waited

![]() Man, my butterflies won't even touch those. They must taste really bad. They just spread and spread and spread. Manual removal seems to be the only hope for me.
Remember someone posting about using an electric toothbrush or something to mash them up off rock and supposedly worked well for them. I think it might have been Willow and/or Ivy. I could see it working but I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be able to handle the smell if I tried it myself.

![]() I have posted about the same problem. Tried kalk paste tried scraping them off. Nothing works as they keep coming back. Good luck!

![]() I wish I could tell you why they are absolutely not growing in my tank but they don't. I use carbon filtration and I have read that this can slow down their growth or even kill them. Dunno if this is the case with both my aquariums but they just don,t grow. I have lotst all my clove polyps, green, blue whatever, and now even losing some that were given to me with the mention "be carefull it will spread like mad" but it's dying.
I have mixed reef with sps, lps and soft...Nothing is perfect..I wish they would grow like mad in my aquarium. |
