Default I just can't believe this!

San franscisco banning McDonalds Happy Meals!!!

http://calgary.ctv.ca/servlet/an/loc...ub=CalgaryHome

Oh come on now, they think that will really stop the obesity. What is even funnier is all the Canadians that approve this.

Eventually we won't be able to ****/SH@#$@# when we want, won't be able to have a beer... HEHE, we will have to apply for a permit to have sexual relations!!!!

I just shake my head sometimes.

Won't people just buy kids the larger meals then? I see this making obesity worse instead of better. Plus Mc D's doesn't make kids fat, parents that overfeed them with junk do.

I remember when my family first moved to Canada, we'd go to Mc D's and share 3 kids meals between the 6 of us and it was plenty.

Ya agreed, if Mom's going to drive to McDonalds for her Super sized Big Mac Combo she sure as heck isn't going to walk across the street to buy something healthy for the kids just because the kids menu has been removed.

Sometimes I just need to shake my head and realize/ accept we are a race full of idiots... It's unfortunate that the challenge comes down to putting someone less idiotic in charge .

Where do they get these highbrow ideas from? What next, take the prize out of Cracker Jacks? ...... If they even make that anymore, could be dating myself here. Parents are ultimately responsible for their childrens health and fitness, not Mcd's. ..... How many kids have been a four day diet of candy? maybe we should cancel Halloween.

Imo all fast food chains should be banned. Or at least be forced to make healthy options available, not just healthy sounding ones. Sorry people but the food that they serve for the most part is garbage.

I think it is funny that they ban fast food.... but not cigarettes which are PROVEN to be a drain on the health care system. The fact that several Canadian provinces are suing BIG TOBACCO for compensation but refuse to make it illegal. Basically they are sending the message that McDonalds is worse than smoking.

No offense to smokers, but even smokers know the dangers. It becomes pro-choice.... good or bad.

I wonder... does anyone care enough to read signatures if you make them really small? I would not. I would probably moan and complain, read three words and swear once or twice. But since you made it this far, please rate my builds.

On a side note.... I strangely feel compelled to go for a Big Mac HAHHAHHA!

As for nagging on people for spelling mistakes.... focus on the thread.

ya except tobacco is buried in tax. Food under $4 is only subject to 6 or 7 percent. I'm not trying to make an excuse for tabacco.....really I wouldn't mind if junk food had a separate tax. Infact my idea is to tax junk food and subsidize healthier choices and make it income neutral for the government. I think you would see a huge drop in obesity if this were to happen.

That is the problem, tobacco or alchohol would never be illegal as there is way tooooo much moula for the government. Remember what we would pay for either is mostly tax. Imagine if they taxed fast food like they do with cigs or alchohol, I happy meal would be $15 bucks then.
