Default Bio Beads/Pellets

Has anyone tried the Vertex bio beads/pellets as opposed to the NP ones, I assume they are pretty much the same thing....

I have seen at least 4 different variations on these Nitrate/Phosphate reducing "bio pellets" now. I think pretty much everyone has started to jump on the bandwagon with their own take. I saw a few bags of the Vertex variety at Red Coral last weekend

- The "original" NP Reducing Bio-Pellets
- NpX bio beads
- Vertex Pro-Biopellets
- Warner Marine EcoBAK solid vodka dosing pellets

.. just to name a few. Oh, and Instant Ocean now has a "fluid form of Solid Vodka Dosing via Suspended Biodegradable Polymers" ???

Adding to that:

- Two Little Fishes has pellets
- Tetra has their pellets (although they claim to use only in FW but seems similar compound).

- Redsea has a similar fluid version (but the pellet is the best bang for the buck)

I bet we are gonna see alot more of these leading up to macna

I am trying the new vertex pellets right now and find they are a little smaller in size the original ones so a little easier to tumble and also found they (Mulm up (if this is the correct term)) faster.
