Default Finally!

Already posted in my tank thread but I am super excited about this guy!

Its been a while I have been looking for a nice looking Harlequin Tusk Wrasse.

He is about 5" or so.

Very cool fish. I was just at J&L and I think I saw some of them.

Yeah I had one on hold there. I was at J&L the day they came in and happen to see them acclimating. I wanted to take one home right then but figured a few days in the store would be best. They looked like they shipped very nicely.

Did you see that Blue Hippo that they had at the store? Pretty sad, it was torn to pieces but still swimming. It looked like it had been picked apart really badly, all of the skin around the head was gone and most of it's fins were shredded.

I felt bad for the big guy.

Yes that guy has been there for a few weeks He was in the tank my Tusk was. So you saw the fish I had on hold for sure.

I also feel so bad for that tang. If I had room, he would for sure be a rescue. I would need a proper QT though.

The Harlequin Tusk is on my wish list too. As soon as the new 225 has been up for a few more months, I'll be getting one. Yours is a beauty.

FYI, this hippo was not 'picked on', he has severe lateral line erosion caused by poor nutrition and bad water quality, and was brought to the store to have a chance at a better life! Regal tangs are so prone to lateral line. He is needing a good home with an owner that will feed him seaweed and veggies daily to try and repair some of the damage... Although he will probably never fully heal.

Yeah he has one of the worst cases of HLLE I have ever seen. I still feel so bad for him. I really would take him if I didn't already have a Hippo or if two hippos would get along in one tank.

He did seem quite active and just needs a good diet and care for a bit.

Being patient has paid off for you! A nice looking wrasse you acquired, can't wait to see him/her in the tank.
