Default Removing Top frame from 37G Column tank...

Yeah so I have a new Marineland 37 tank, 18x20x24high with plastic trim, (no cross braces).

What do you think? do it? Or DON"T DO IT!!!

I realize it was engineered to be frameless, but the solana 36 lacks extra support at the top.

Let me know what you think.

Thanks

how thick is the glass, if it less than 1/2" dont do it, even then i wouldnt do it, that tank will be a pain in the but to light and stock due to the fact its so high and small.

The problem with removing the top plastic trim is the glass under it usually doesn't have a finished edge so will be very sharp.
